NEW 2-DAY WORKSHOP FOR TEENS! |
“KitBash Creation”: Creating Designs, Characters, Vehicles
and Environments Using Things Around You
Instructor: Dawood Marion
Ages: 11-18
|
Kitbash
:
is a practice whereby a new scale model
is created by taking pieces out of commercial
kits as well as unused items from around
the house and or sculpey clay. These materials
may be added to a custom project or to another
kit. Kitbashing is popular to create concept
models for detailing movie special effects.
Commercial model kits are a ready source
of "detailing", providing any
amounts of identical, mass-produced components
that can be used to add fine detail to an
existing model. Kitbashing is a fun and
creative way to keep designing when away
from the sketchbook or easel.
