A Thank You Note from Sierra

Hello,

It's hard to believe, but my time as the Artist in Residence at Sharon Art Studios has come to an end. As the first ever Artist in Residence here, we weren't exactly sure how it would work out, but I'm thrilled to say it went fantastically well!

As a young person in the arts, it was amazing to have such a supportive community. Everything about this experience was excellent, and I'll forever treasure the time I spent with the people at Sharon Art Studio.

I've grown significantly, both in my craft and as a person. The opportunity to create without restrictions or guidelines was incredibly freeing and allowed me to explore new dimensions of my art. I was able to help teach classes and pass on my love for the material to both older and younger people. The youth sessions were a particular joy to be part of – the kids' enthusiasm for making art was not only heartwarming but also very inspiring for me. It was truly special to witness these young artists in the making!

With my final year of college just around the corner, I believe this experience has opened my eyes to the vastness of the artistic community. I've realized that as long as there are people who create, there will be a strong community supporting them which is truly a beautiful and unique aspect of the art world. I'm excited to see how this program will evolve and become even more amazing than it already is.

Thank you again, Sharon Art Studios, for this incredible opportunity. To everyone I've had the pleasure of working with and learning from – you've made this experience truly unforgettable.

Here's to creativity, community, and the bright future of Sharon Art Studios!

Best,

Sierra Apicella
